UAN11 |
The Final tests of UAN take place May 23-28 in the Trondheim fjord.
Engineering test are carried out the week before, to prepare for the main ones.
The main objective of the Final tests is to verify and demonstrate all main functionalities of the UAN concept, and in particular to demonstrate integration of subsystem in a Command and control (C2) environment. This is implemented by the following tests:
- Single Input Single Output (SISO) point to point communication between nodes at the sea floor
- SISO point to point communication with Folaga AUVs.
- Single Input Multiple Output (SIMO) high rate point to point communication
- Underwater acoustic network configuration and operation
- Network adaptivity using the AUVs
- Integration in C2 and simulation of threat situation
Like in earlier tests, UAN partners will participate with equipment and personel for the operating of the various equipment during this experiment. In particular the equipment will include the Subsurface Telemetry Unit (STU), 2 Fixed Nodes (FNOs) and the Portable Acoustic Source Unit (PASU) from CINTAL, 2 Fologa AUV vehicles from ISME. 5 modems plus one spare from Kongsberg Maritime and Command and control equipment from SSI.
